@Sumfera yea basically theres almost no difference between NAND (the memory itself) only between the controller….. i mean they do have Toggle NAND which is better when it comes to IOPS but no difference when it comes to Seq read/writes
@Luger718A1 I see. Similar to having two cars with the same engine, but one with less gears. Oh well, I’ll live.
@Sumfera for all we know they both use the same nand chips and the samsung one just uses a faster controller.
@Luger718A1 I can agree to that. However, we still do not know if the Toshiba has a longer product life. Maybe they focused on that instead of speed. We’ll see in a few years though.

@Sumfera its less about how fast its being written to then how many times read/writes are happening….
for example if for some reason TRIM/Garbage collection isnt enabled on an ssd… it could degrade in a matter of days
I buy madden every year.. the slight graphics change is nice, but the game play is different very very noticabley. I’m very competitive and the tweaks completely make it a new game every year… 2011 you can go deep, 2010 good luck

@Sumfera yeah, that’s good point. We don’t know I guess if one is longer-life than the other, or at least I haven’t seen that comparison. Time may tell.
@Sumfera Yes, both devices will need to be on the same WiFi for AirPlay.
@Insanelygreatmac Regarding the Samsung and Toshiba drives in the MB Air, what about quality and product life? If I underclock a processor, would it last longer than an overclocked one in terms of “burning out”? Could the same be applied to the flash drives? Could the slower Toshiba drive last longer? I have the 2010 MB Air model with the Toshiba drive, and it feels fast enough. If it outlives a Samsung drive — great.
I thought the airplay required a wifi network. If you want to stream media from your iPad 2 to your appletv, which is hooked up to a projector in the meeting room, you either need access to the wireless network in the meeting room or bring an airport express. Am I wrong?
