iPhone 4S Teardown Review
We sent our co-founder 18 hours into the future, to Melbourne, Australia, to get his skillful hands on Apple’s latest iPhone offering: the iPhone 4S. But surprise! Fed-Ex one-upped us by delivering an iPhone 4S early to (iFixit user) Markus Weiher in Germany, and with Markus’s help we were able to give the iPhone 4S the teardown treatment it deserves.
Also, you, like many of us, might be wondering if you can install Siri on your iPhone/iPad/iPod. While the verdict is still out on that question, this video has a couple of possible reasons why it’s not available. Some guy is going to be really really lucky! Well, now that this Canadian has shared his opinion of you, M.J., what’s your opinion regarding the iPhone5 being a 4G phone? One of the main reasons I haven’t upgraded to the 4s is because I’ve heard the next gen phone will be 4G. Your thoughts?

I think you must mean “an additional .5 Watt-hours”, not .05, since the total capacity is 5.3 Whr. A bump from 4.8 to 5.3 Whr is a bit over ten percent. Going from 5.25 to 5.3 would have been less than a one percent bump.

focus on the skinny things:
it’s quite simple: focus works by tapping stuff you see on your screen, tapping has the thickness of your finger = things you want to get focused should have the same thickness on the iPhone 4S Screen!

@inquisitivewolf My Nokia N8 is much better from this when i record with 720p HD video its looks better from that IPhone 4s camera
Minus the fact that this camera’s rolling shutter is absolutely outrageous and there’s very deep depth of field, it’s extremely impressive. Sony really outdid themselves with the image sensor. Not sure if they made the processor, too, but I’m sure they did. Regardless, this quality is a sexy solution for those of you who are looking for a cheap solution without going full DSLR/HDV.
