This commercial is so epic because it was direct by Ridley Scott, who directed Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Hannibal, American Gangster, and Body of Lies just to name of few. Steve Jobs had nothing to do with it.
The guy on the screen looks like Sniper from Team Fortress 2 LOL
only rich people and idiots buy a mac thats why she threw a crowbar at the tv
great now we have to get a new screen
@SJM12492 It’s my brother’s birthday too
That’s my birthday! Straaaange…
@jasonroxorz He openly admitted that he wasn’t much of an engineer. But Napoleon wasn’t famous for being a great shot. It was his ability to lead.
@therealhermione I’m well into reading his biography. What he meant when he said “Good artists copy. Great artists steal.” was that he would look at something another company had done, for example xerox and bitmapping, and he out and out stole that technology. It was legal, obviously, or xerox would have sued him. They basically gave him the tech, but in any case no it wasn’t his original idea. But he made it better and gave it the funding it deserved. He should be respected for his leadership.
Shoe’s on the other foot.

…..TODAY is 1984 in the USA (as foretold by Orwell) and what “Brainwashed” Americans desperately need is for someone to hit them over the head with a Big Sledge Hammer to Wake them Up to Ac tion…to Fight the Fascists who control Wall St and Washington!!!
@jasonroxorz I think that he was talented. But I also think he wasn’t exactly someone to praise. Go look up some of the things he did while leading his company to the height it was at. He openly admitted to stealing other people’s work and to taking credit for something he didn’t do. I’m not sure what he actually created and what he didn’t, but I do know that, if even half of the articles printed about him are true, he’s not someone I’d ever admire.
MS fanboys everywhere! I’m typing this from a windows PC, but if you don’t respect Jobs for creating brilliant competition, for creating the smartphone, and for making some of the most reliable consumer products you just don’t get it. I have an Android and I’m running Windows 7 and I still respect Jobs for leading his company to the height it was at when he stepped down.
And because of “Wintel” PC:s Linus Torvalds could reanimate Unix in the form of Linux. If Unix had been left to die. There would have been no OS X, iOS or Android.
Do all the MS fanboys here realize that there were no such thing as Windows when this commercial was made? Gates and Jobs worked together on the Macintosh. Microsoft made the pre bundled software and Apple the rest, with a great deal of help from Xerox.
Me, being a Mac user I’m happy that Microsoft broke off and created windows. If they hadn’t the mac would have been the only option, since it blew the IBM with OS/2 or DOS out of the water.
@Fedorsha I’m right at the part where it’s mentioned and I figured I should watch it again for the full effect
This commercial is up there with pepsi mean joe green commercial from the 1970s
I’m sure many people are looking up this commercial after reading about it in the Steve handjobs biography… It still possess more artistic style than 98% of todays corny heartless ads!
thumbs up if you noticed that the ssteam mac os x commercial is very similar to this! XD
